We began our pieces on beauty in February, before the pandemic, before our mother died. Since then, we’ve traveled to Boston for her wake and funeral, then home to bury our grief as, like everyone on Earth, we needed to wrap our minds around what we could do to keep our families safe. We let time pass, we wondered whether to still write on this theme, but decided, yes, let’s do it. We are storytellers, and we hope that you find in these stories moments you can relate to, perhaps laugh at or be inspired by. Beauty is a subject we will return to, hopefully in better times.
